Role in Case(s)
Tom was called into the murder investigation of Bruce Munny after the team found an envelope addressed to Tom's house at the edge of Grimsborough. He was questioned about his relationship with Bruce by the team in which he replied that he is his boss. He told the team that he disliked Bruce as he always mistreats Seville and him. Later, he was quizzed about a gun that belongs to him lying around the plains near to his house. Tom told the team that he usually practices shooting in an open plain with a target.
At the climax of the investigation, all the proofs pointed out that Seville Ruff, Tom's colleague was the one responsible for the murder of their boss. Seville had killed his employer because he never bothered to pay him his salary. He hated Bruce because he always overwork him but never gives him a raise nor even his salary while he gives it to the other employees. What Seville didn't know was that Bruce wanted to give him a really big surprise, a reward of almost 1 million dollars for his hard work but Seville wasn't patient. One day, Seville decided to take action. He grabbed a pistol from the emergency cabinet, lured Bruce into the safe when no one was there and shot him through the eye. After ruthlessly killing him, he shut the safe door while looting some cash that tallies his salary.
In the Additional Investigation, Tom requested the team's help. He told the team that he lost his ID card somewhere outside his house. Jones hesitated to help him at first but helps him anyway since it's his job to help the citizens of Grimsborough. The team found his ID card in a pile of leaves and gave it back to him.
